PMD

Meat, chicken and fish are often sold in a black, white or yellow tray that looks a bit like polystyrene. This is what we call extruded polystyrene foam (XPS). This type of packaging can go in the PMD bag. The trays are often wrapped with a plastic film, which is also a plastic packaging (the P in PMD). So also that plastic film can go in the blue bag.

Please note: Polystyrene that is often used to package electrical appliances and that consists of tiny polystyrene balls compressed together must not be put in the PMD bag. You should take this to the recycling centre.
