such as laundry detergent, descaler, bleach, glass cleaner, etc.

PMD

When empty, plastic bottles and sprays used for cleaning products, such as detergent, all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, bleach, washing-up liquid, fabric softener, car shampoo, scouring agents, descalers, degreasers, etc. belong in the PMD bag.

Please note: Does the packaging have a child-resistant closure or does it feature one of the following pictograms? Then you must not dispose of this packaging in the PMD bag; it belongs in the household hazardous waste (HHW)!

TIP - Does the bottle have a plastic film completely covering the bottle, like the one on the image? You can remove this from the bottle via the tear-off line. That way, both the film and the bottle itself will be correctly recognised at the sorting centre and each will go to the right recycling company.

Please note: bottles of detergent, disinfectant or products with high active ingredients used in a professional and/or industrial context are industrial packaging that are prohibited in the PMD and must be collected via the appropriate waste stream. This is the case even if this packaging is not marked with the pictograms or does not have a child-resistant cap as mentioned above. Contact your waste operator for this.
