First of all: carbon dioxide cylinders that you purchase for making your own sparkling water NEVER belong in PMD. If they end up in PMD, this causes dangerous stiuations for collectors and for employees and installations in sorting centres.

With most well-known brands, including SodaStream and Brita, you can hand in your empty CO² bottle, or exchange it for a new one. This can be done simply through the point of sale.
